Issue

Our client was planning to redevelop an abandoned office tower and adjacent buildings in the heart of downtown and replace them with retail stores, luxury condominiums, office space, and gardens. The developer looked to Malcolm Pirnie to manage the environmental due diligence associated with the project.

Solution

Malcolm Pirnie is providing the following services to assist our client in developing the properties: environmental site assessments of the properties in compliance with Ohio’s Voluntary Action Program; surveys of lead-based paint, asbestos, universal and other hazardous wastes; remedial planning and design; oversight of cleanup operations, including removal of asbestos and demolition debris, preparation of a 'No Further Action' letter and request for 'Covenant Not to Sue' from Ohio EPA.
